YOOO Makin' up for some lost time here since we couldn't get around to doing the blogs the last couple weeks. There's been too much going on behind the scenes. But we're back at it!
The final new release date before RSD Black Friday and the Holiday Season really kick in, and there’s a wall full of jams. Tons of reissues this week with a few new releases sprinkled in.
New and reissue highlight titles for us this week: Chat Pile & Hayden Pedigo “In the Earth Again” on LP and CD. A wild collaboration between two staff favorites around here, and it doesn’t really sound like either of them, but something uniquely different and cool. And then a reissue of the first Grouper album “Way Their Crept,” which I’m super stoked is back in print. Any of our regulars that dabble in experimental music know how much I love Grouper, beautiful and melancholic, atmospheric singer songwriter works. Essential dreary weather music for when you’re deep in your feels.
Of course we have the Descendents reissue of “I Don’t Want To Grow Up.” Of course we have the newly remastered (by Wisconsin’s own JUSTIN PERKINS) deluxe reissue of The Replacements “Let It Be.” Flight of the Conchords reissues on Sub Pop. The Aerosmith and Yungblud EP is in stock and comes with sticker/poster w/purchase. Korn reissue of “See You on the Other Side.” The new DIJON album! The new FOXING. Blue Note Classic series reissues from Jackie McLean and Andrew Hill. Original Jazz Classics reissues from Wes Montgomery and Sonny Rollins.
A reissue of Phantogram “Voices,” and the new album from Oneohtrix Point Never, “Tranquilizer.” Some Christmastime jams including the Old Crow Medicine Show album w/bonus free 7-inch. Royal Tenenbaums and Sinner soundtracks! (Wicked for Good is arriving today so we will unpack those ASAP and they come with a free sticker sheet). And there’s the Beatles “Anthology 4” with a free 12x12 poster flat.
More good new and re-ish jams beyond those, so come through and flippppp. Fresh used will be out Saturday morning, as usual. Next weekend is going to be NUTTTTY with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, so if you wanna avoid the crowds and do some general browsing, come through this weekend.
