This is indeed a VERY SICK week of new releases and reissues at the shop. And my picks will contain one of each because there are a couple here that are just TOO GOOD to choose between.
Adam's Picks! My new release pick this week is of course the timely new album from punk legends PROPAGANDHI! It's been 8 years since their last record and they return with AT PEACE with more evidence why they're one of the most important punk bands of all time. Plentiful guitar melodies and powerful lyrical content, but with the fast intensity scaled back a bit compared to other recent albums. But it makes the songs feel very deliberate in their approach. I'm so glad we get another record out of these guys 32 years into their career.
For the reissue this week is, of course, the legendary PINK FLOYD AT POMPEII on CD, LP, DVD, and Blu-Ray! I have been watching this in some format or another (jesus, remember VIDEO CD??) since 2002 when a co-worker hooked me up with a copy. It's one of the greatest live performance videos of all time (with no audience!) and has NEVER been officially released on vinyl before! I cannot stress enough how badly you need to see At Pompeii, but just listening to this new remix by Steven Wilson is a journey in itself. Wilson has been doing a brilliant job revisiting some legendary recordings and is batting a thousand so far, At Pompeii is no exception. In 20+ years I've never heard this sound so good. Highly recommended and the vinyl release is super nice quality.

One we're REAL excited about is the reissue of American Analog Set "Fun of Watching Fireworks" which is a long-time favorite from the early 90s. Wonderfully dreamy krautrock inspired indie rock, highly recommended. Cramps reissues! WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM demo 12-inch reissue from Relapse! Some TV Girl stuff, more Brown Acid compilations, CRAMPS represses, new Tribunal on 20 Buck Spin. A deluxe reissue of "Love Sick" by Don Toliver, and so much more. We also stocked up on a TON of CDs we hadn't carried before, so the wall is lookin FULL.
