Toby Summerfield - Bodies of Water LP

I started this practice during the most isolated days of the early pandemic. The music is born from meditation on the solo practices and prodigious techniques of some dear friends. I use the vocabulary I have developed to deal with standing on stage beside them, interacting with them, and just being inspired by them.

When I play this music I am surrounded by friends, even tho I'm alone.

It is also an opportunity to reflect on my own voice on these instruments. To revisit the sparks that made my interest move in certain musical directions. Moments of inspiration in the presence of guitarists and bassists that I love.†
