Bay Area legends Grateful Dead churned out a plethora of wonderful live recordings throughout their incredible career. Their concerts were of legendary proportions especially during their mammoth breakthrough years of the late sixties. This masterful performance at New York's Fillmore East in Februrary of 1969 was compiled from both the early and late shows by Phil Lesh and producer John Cutler who teamed up with definitive Dead archivist David Lemeiux.

The line-up of Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kruetzmann, Ron McKernan and Tom Constanten deliver stellar performances of Dead classics and rarities like "St. Stephen," "Dupree's Diamond Blues," "Dark Star," "The Other One," and "The Eleven" to go along with covers of the Bobby Blue Bland classic "Turn On Your Lovelight," The Beatles' "Hey Jude" and the blues standards "King Bee" and "Good Morning Little School Girl."

Boasting restored vault tapes by David Glasser, this 180g vinyl 3LP reissue from Friday Music was mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records, Hollywood, CA. The set comes packaged in a stunning tri-fold cover with Gary Lambert's original liner notes and retro LP label artwork.
