16 Horsepower - Folklore LP

Vinyl re-press of the 2002 album. Black vinyl. With Folklore, 16 Horsepower deepen their distinctive dark and spiritual interpretation of American and Eastern European traditional music. The album combines original compositions with radically reimagined classics, transforming them into ritualistic, minimalist yet powerfully charged soundscapes. Instruments such as banjo, cello, hurdy-gurdy and bandoneon create an archaic foundation that perfectly supports the intense and haunting voice of David Eugene Edwards. Folklore remains one of the band's most defining and immersive works-dark, otherworldly and hypnotic. An album that dissolves the boundaries between tradition, myth and contemporary alternative culture.
