Deluxe Edition 180g Viny 4LP-Set Finds Original Soundtrack Expanded with Instrumental Versions Plus a Demo of "Lose Yourself"
The soundtrack to Eminem's semi-autobiographical 2002 film 8 Mile was released 20 years ago to critical and commercial acclaim, spawning one of the biggest hits of the rapper's career with "Lose Yourself," which has been certified a staggering 13x Diamond. 8 Mile is also famous for launching 50 Cent's musical career with his first hit "Wanksta." This new deluxe edition vinyl 4LP-set finds the original soundtrack expanded with the instrumental versions plus a demo version of "Lose Yourself." The 8 Mile soundtrack debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and features Eminem on five tracks as well as a cavalcade of hip hop luminaries like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, Gang Starr, Xzibit and Macy Gray. "Lose Yourself" earned Eminem five Grammy nominations and an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2003, marking the first time a hip hop artist had ever received the honor.
