Okay this is one I never thought would ever happen, a new record from ALGERNON CADWALLADER?! “Trying Not to Have a Thought” is available now! Okay that name isn’t exactly household but they sure as hell should be. They had a couple albums in the 2000s-2010s of EXCELLENT midwest-inspired emo (but yelly, and loud, and “punk” ish). Amazing melodies, meaningful lyrics. They’re as good as they’ve ever been, and they were great. Seth and I saw them in a basement in Chicago around 2011 or something and it still stands as one of the sickest DIY shows I’ve been to. Sweat just dripping from the ceiling, everyone yelling along. Iconic stuff.
REISSUE:
You guys you already know it’s DEICIDE “Legion,” alright? Their second album from 1992, classic death metal and highly influential. Reissued on color vinyl similar to some of the other recent Deicide reissues. You like death metal? You need it.
