Bolt Thrower - For Victory LP
Taking their name from a hostile siege device in Games Worksop's Warhammer game, Bolt Thrower formed in Birmingham, England circa 1986 with the intention of making heavy and aggressive rock music inspired by bands such as Sacrilege, Discharge, Candlemass and Slayer. Bolt Thrower issued their first five albums on the venerable Earache Records.
Recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, fifth full-length ...For Victory (1994) served as the legendary British death metaller's final effort on the label and the third consecutive release to be produced by Colin Richardstone (Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth). Continuing where The IVth Crusade left off, ...For Victory is built around the concepts and casualties of war and offers up an onslaught of crushing epics like the title cut, "Graven Image" and "Armageddon Bound."
...For Victory has been specially remastered from the original master tapes using 'FDR' - Full Dynamic Range mastering - allowing the music's nuances to truly shine through. It results in a more ferocious and dynamic sound which enables the listener to immerse in the full audio heaviness like never before.
